About the Project

The project aims to advance our understanding of yeast subpopulation diversity and its impact on industrial bioprocesses. This will involve scale-down cultivations to mimic large-scale cultivation conditions, identification of subpopulations using FACS sorting, and analysis of their phenotypes using omic techniques.

Your Role

As a PhD researcher, you will be responsible for conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and contributing to the writing of research papers and reports. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with other researchers and attend conferences and workshops.

Requirements
  • MSc in Systems Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, or a related discipline
  • Courses in bioinformatics, systems biology, and fermentation technology
  • Some knowledge and hands-on experience with yeast fermentations and collection of large omic data sets
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English
