We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Engineer (Mechanical Equipment) to join our team at myGwork - LGBTQ+ Business Community. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our data center's mechanical and electrical equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Preventative Maintenance: Plan, prepare, and deliver preventative maintenance across all data center sites to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Equipment Management: Identify, purchase, and store spares and parts required for planned and reactive works, and conduct root cause analysis on failures to implement remediation.
- Training and Development: Mentor and guide on-site engineering operations technicians unfamiliar with the equipment, and supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance.
- Maintenance Tasks: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including filter changes, tank inspections, legionella testing, and pump maintenance, and develop and implement risk assessments and method statements for works.
- Troubleshooting: Perform first-level trouble-shooting and take daily operational readings to provide to senior engineers for metrics reporting.
- Asset Management: Input and manage EAM for assigned assets, and update maintenance reports and planners.
- Experience: 2+ years of relevant work experience within the mechanical equipment field, including experience with pumps, engines, cooling systems, and other related equipment.
- Travel: Ability to travel between data center sites on a daily or weekly basis, and possession of a valid EU driver's license.
- Preferred Qualifications: Particular experience in cooling systems, training or certification in cooling systems, and demonstrated capability in understanding and troubleshooting of cooling equipment and fundamentals.
