About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity to join Hitachi Energy as a Contract Manager, supporting the successful performance of Contract Management in assigned projects. As a key player in the project execution team, you will contribute to the joint accomplishment of a convoy of projects.

You will be responsible for ensuring contract and risk management activities are timely and accurately pursued and executed, protecting Hitachi Energy's interests throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Execution and Administration: Ensure timely and accurate execution and administration of commercial and contractual aspects in the portfolio of designated contracts/subcontracts/cooperation agreements.
  • Contract Negotiation and Review: Identify, discuss, negotiate, and review the contract baseline, including terms and conditions, to maximize financial and operational performance, risk mitigation, and reduction.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Provide guidance and leadership on contract-related matters to cross-functional business team members.
  • Claim Management and Defense: Verify that parties have fulfilled all contractual obligations, defend and enforce claims, and develop negotiation strategies.
  • Contract Drafting and Review: Support the drafting of contracts, subcontracts, and supply contracts, ensuring relevant contracts contain appropriate contract terms to protect Hitachi Energy's interests.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, Economics, or Law.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, write, speak, and negotiate in Swedish and English.
  • Experience: Proven experience in EPC power generation, substations, converter stations, grid integration, transmission, or similar industrial plant Contract Management and Subcontract Management functions.
  • Skills: Solid experience in change management, claim management, and contract-related legal issues, with great communication and negotiation skills.
