We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Verisk in Sweden. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in managing the monthly financial close process for our Swedish business units.
Job SummaryThe ideal candidate will have 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably with Big 4 or large regional audit firm experience. Strong knowledge of Swedish GAAP and financial reporting requirements is essential, as well as experience working in an international organization. The successful candidate will be fluent in both English and Swedish and possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all revenues and costs incurred are properly recorded and balance sheet accounts are maintained. You will also prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and roll-forwards for Swedish business units. Additionally, you will own reconciliation between the local accounting system and Corporate systems.
You will collaborate with external statutory auditors and Corporate Statutory Reporting Team to ensure successful audit results and compliance. Experience working with Oracle Fusion, Business Central, Visma Online & Exflow is beneficial. A strong attention to detail, ability to self-review, and sense of ownership are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the monthly financial close process for Swedish business units.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and roll-forwards.
- Owning reconciliation between local accounting system and Corporate systems.
- Responsible for accuracy and completeness of Sweden Balance Sheets.
- Maintain reconciliation of US GAAP differences concerning Swedish GAAP.
- Collaborate with business unit finance and wider Corporate Accounting.
- Work with Corporate Tax team to support local tax filings.
- Ensure compliance with internal control policies in a SOX environment.
- Make recommendations for changes as needed.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Swedish GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience working in an international organization.
- Fluency in both English and Swedish.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
