As a Controls Engineer, you'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seamless capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
Job DescriptionAs a Controls Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and implement building automation systems within Amazon. This involves working closely with stakeholders to understand customer needs and develop scope and specifications that meet those needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding electrical diagrams, control diagrams, building operations, control circuits, and industrial HVAC systems.
- Developing and managing engineering projects to determine the scope of work relative to the site specifics and customer needs.
- Reading and interpreting specifications and implementing them in the work environment.
- Developing control panel BOMs, ISA sheets for temperature, level, flow, and pressure transmitters, and drawings for control panels, power distribution, and junction boxes.
- Performing inspections, testing, and commissioning of facility systems.
For this role, we're looking for individuals with a strong background in construction management, mechanical, electrical, or technology fields. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, HVAC, or other related engineering disciplines is preferred.
Additionally, you should possess:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholder deliverables, requirements, and navigate complex situations.
- Experience with installation, configuration, or servicing of building controls systems from top vendors like Siemens, Honeywell, Trend, Schneider Electric, Rockwell Automation, Tridium, Eaton, ABB, and Johnson Controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
