The Global Services team is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing building automation systems within Amazon. As a Controls Engineer, you'll play a critical role in this effort, working closely with stakeholders to understand customer needs and develop scope and specifications that meet those needs.

Job Description

As a Controls Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and implement building automation systems within Amazon. This involves working closely with stakeholders to understand customer needs and develop scope and specifications that meet those needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and managing engineering projects to determine the scope of work relative to the site specifics and customer needs.
  • Reading and interpreting specifications and implementing them in the work environment.
  • Developing control panel BOMs, ISA sheets for temperature, level, flow, and pressure transmitters, and drawings for control panels, power distribution, and junction boxes.
  • Performing inspections, testing, and commissioning of facility systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications

For this role, we're looking for individuals with a strong background in construction management, mechanical, electrical, or technology fields. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, HVAC, or other related engineering disciplines is preferred.

Additionally, you should possess:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholder deliverables, requirements, and navigate complex situations.
  • Experience with installation, configuration, or servicing of building controls systems from top vendors like Siemens, Honeywell, Trend, Schneider Electric, Rockwell Automation, Tridium, Eaton, ABB, and Johnson Controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
