About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Octapharma. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the operation, reliability, and integrity of our backups operational technology (OT) systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Backup Management: Develop, implement, and maintain backup solutions for OT systems, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  2. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve any issues related to backup processes and systems, minimizing downtime and data loss.
  3. Compliance: Ensure backup processes adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining a high level of data security.
  4. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of backup configurations, procedures, and recovery plans, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  5. Monitoring: Continuously monitor backup operations to identify and address potential issues proactively, ensuring optimal system performance.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with IT and OT teams to align backup strategies with overall organizational goals, promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
  7. Capacity Planning: Plan and manage storage capacity to ensure adequate space for current and future backup needs, optimizing system resources.
  8. Disaster Recovery: Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss in case of system failures, ensuring business continuity.
  9. Development: Develop, test, implement, and benchmark new backup systems, solutions, and procedures to ensure data integrity and availability, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
  2. 3 to 5 years work experience in IT and/or OT is required.
  3. Experience in backup/restore of IT infrastructure components such as VMware, Windows, Linux, SQL, and/or Oracle is required.
  4. Knowledge of operational technology (OT) systems is highly preferred.
  5. Experience in a GxP environment is preferred.
  6. Knowledge of VMware, Windows, Linux, and databases is highly preferred.
