Stockholm, Stockholm, Sweden Starbreeze Full time

We are seeking an experienced Gameplay Animation Specialist to join our team at Starbreeze, a leading game development studio. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality keyframe and motion capture gameplay animations that bring characters to life in our upcoming cooperative action game, Project Baxter.

As a Gameplay Animation Specialist, you will work closely with our Animation Director and Lead Animator to develop engaging and believable character animations that meet the project's creative vision. You will implement and test your own work in Unreal Engine, ensuring seamless integration with other game features. Your expertise in animation principles, Maya, MotionBuilder, and game engine implementation will be invaluable in delivering high-quality results.

In addition to your technical skills, you will collaborate with other disciplines, including Design, Tech, and Production, to proactively solve any potential animation-related issues and deliver features on time. You will also promote new gameplay or presentation ideas through previs and prototyping, sparking discussions and helping in the decision-making process.

We are looking for someone with experience creating keyframe and motion capture gameplay animation for AAA titles, with a focus on characters and creatures. Excellent understanding of animation principles, knowledge of Maya, MotionBuilder, and experience implementing and testing your own work in a game engine are essential. Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills, as well as problem-solving skills with an emphasis on proactivity, are also crucial.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for video games and be eager to contribute to the success of Project Baxter. This is a unique opportunity to work on a cutting-edge game that combines the best elements of tabletop RPGs and modern gaming technology. If you're a skilled animator with a passion for creating engaging gameplay experiences, we encourage you to apply.

This role can be based onsite in Stockholm or remote across France, Spain, Sweden, and the UK. The estimated salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $120,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
