Our facility is home to approximately 90 dedicated employees who contribute to the production of Sorbact, a groundbreaking wound care dressing that plays a crucial role in combating antibiotic resistance globally. At Essity, you will be encouraged to develop professionally while collaborating with a remarkable team, playing an integral part in the company's forward-thinking and innovative endeavors.

In this capacity, you will have the chance to influence and guide local projects while actively participating in global initiatives. You will engage with various communication channels and become a member of the global network of project leaders. Our facility is on a trajectory of growth, and your role as Project Initiative Leader is essential to this journey. You will be part of a management team that shares a collective growth mindset. This position is hybrid and requires some travel.

Key Responsibilities

As the Project Initiative Leader, you will ensure effective planning and execution of projects at the site, serving as a model for operational integration and project execution. Your responsibilities will include managing the site project portfolio and providing regular updates to the management team. The project portfolio may encompass innovation initiatives, product or material modifications, regulatory changes, equipment investment projects, and organizational improvements.

You will develop both short-term and long-term action plans through close collaboration with various departments, including Marketing and R&D, sourcing, and other relevant areas, to continuously assess business needs and inputs. You will act as the primary contact and representative for all site initiatives, ensuring a seamless flow of information to and from the site. Additionally, you will maintain close collaboration with the Global PS Medical Initiatives Director to facilitate the implementation of standards and gain a comprehensive perspective on Business Unit initiatives.

  • Facilitate activities aimed at value creation and quality enhancement
  • Establish and manage site structures, tracking and reporting on all initiatives and project activities
  • Keep the site organization informed about innovations and changes
  • Lead the creation and implementation of innovations designed to achieve significant cost savings or increase sales
  • Oversee material changes to drive cost efficiencies and support market activities
  • Actively participate in relevant portfolio meetings to prioritize and allocate resources and responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of budget forecasts for Material Rationalization
  • Mentor and train direct reports and other departments on processes, practices, and initiative execution

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a driven and ambitious individual with strong leadership capabilities, possessing a natural business acumen and a process-oriented approach to project management. To excel in this role, you should demonstrate a positive and pragmatic attitude, embracing change and effectively managing complexity to collaborate and execute projects successfully. You should be structured and methodical in your project management approach, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and initiatives.

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management within a relevant field (experience in medical devices is preferred)
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management (including site managers, cross-functional global directors, and VPs)
  • Excellent proficiency in both written and spoken English and Swedish
