Job Title: Communication Leader - Supply Sustainability

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced communication professional to lead our strategic communication efforts in supply chain sustainability. As a key member of our team, you will develop and implement holistic communication plans to strengthen the IKEA brand and support our sustainability agenda.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop strategic communication plans to support supply chain sustainability initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and enable communication needs and goals.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of business strategies, priorities, and processes through effective communication.
  • Develop clear and actionable communication plans to enable efficient and effective creation, production, and follow-up.
  • Actively contribute to the overall strategic communication direction and plan, prioritizing cross-functional assignments.
  • Drive internal and external communication projects, considering diverse stakeholder perspectives.
  • In close collaboration with stakeholders, contribute to brand risk assessment, lead proactive and reactive communication planning, and build long-term trust for the IKEA brand.
  • Develop the communication competence in the unit/area/function and enable others to lead with communication and represent the IKEA brand according to the IKEA values and tone of voice.

Qualifications:

  • Role model of the IKEA values, contributing to an open culture where co-workers feel informed, included, engaged, and empowered.
  • Experienced communicator with at least 5 years of working experience in strategic communication or sustainability roles.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of business and communication planning and execution, with an understanding of how communication supports and increases the impact of a business agenda.
  • Relevant experience in leading projects and supporting/leading changes.
  • Dare to think differently, with an agile approach and adaptability.
  • Pragmatic and solution-oriented, with high-quality deliveries.
  • Interested in finding new ways of working and highly motivated to lead our business agenda through people and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong in building trust and relationships across a diverse group of people.
