As a BIM Strategist at Turner & Townsend, you will play a key role in developing approaches that benefit clients, projects, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage commercial opportunities within the Sweden market to develop approaches that benefit clients, projects, and project teams.
  • Implement change within client organizations, including Turner & Townsend, and assist with upskilling to guide and mentor clients through the BIM process.
  • Create an environment that encourages excellence and innovation within your team.
  • Support and influence the strategic direction for Turner & Townsend's knowledge development regarding BIM.
  • Mentor and support staff and project teams in model creation and project processes, ensuring correct data and data structure.
  • Lead and support our team in implementing BIM on major projects and programs.
  • Author key BIM documentation such as Asset Information Requirements, Employer Information Requirements, and BIM Execution Plans when applicable.
  • Assess project teams' BIM competency, advise the development of project BIM Execution Plans, and approve on behalf of clients when necessary.
  • E nsure project BIM standards are followed by project stakeholders, reporting key risks and effective mitigations.
  • Lead model assurance activities, including defining strategies and approaches, model analysis, technical and plain language reporting.
  • Chair and lead BIM workgroup and Technical BIM sessions with the project team to present outcomes of model assurance activities.
  • Research, develop, and implement new technologies, processes, and emerging best practices.
  • Continuously develop in-house standards and capabilities.
  • Provide support to the wider business with tender bidding teams to win future work.
  • Advise Turner & Townsend's project managers and project teams on BIM best practices.
  • Oversee and interface with Design Teams and Information Managers to ensure information coordination.
  • Review and approve BIM documentation and strategic documents.
  • Understand and assess BIM competency of supply chains, clients, and design teams.
  • Understand and navigate through Building Information Models (visual and detailed interrogation).
  • Pursue due diligence on security standards and confidentiality agreements.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable approach to process development, management, and implementation within a business.
  • Deliver quality and innovate effectively.
  • Working knowledge of Sweden and ISO 19650 standards.
  • Proven experience in multidisciplinary working practices and interdependencies.
  • Enthusiastic and positive team player who can give the project team confidence in using BIM and other digital practices.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technology and interoperability standards/good all-round technical knowledge and enthusiasm.
  • Proven experience in client-facing skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written English and Swedish.
  • Understanding of design, procurement, and its application in planning and construction management.
  • Excellent communicator able to provide clear guidance to the whole project team to coordinate a successful outcome.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise requirements and documentation.
  • Able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of BIM authoring tools.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills and a forward-thinking approach to project delivery.
