We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Venture Developer at Sting Capital. As a Venture Developer, you will play a key role in supporting our investment managers in building and managing our deal flow and portfolio.
Your primary responsibilities will include evaluating new investment opportunities, performing financial analysis and market studies, and supporting the team with various administrative tasks. You will also be responsible for supporting the creation of new companies out of research projects and intellectual property, as well as assisting with business development and fundraising for our existing portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate new investment opportunities, including meetings with researcher and student founder teams, financial analysis, and market studies.
- Support the team with various administrative tasks, such as due diligence, reporting, and managing meetings and events.
- Support the creation of new companies out of research projects and intellectual property, including marketing, building teams, securing funding, and company registrations.
- Assist with business development and fundraising for our existing portfolio.
- Support marketing and PR efforts for Sting Capital, including press releases, web and social media channels.
- Build and maintain a relevant community, including a network of investors and partners.
- Master's or higher level studies in a relevant area, such as science, technology, or business.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience from similar tasks, such as working with investments or management consulting.
- Ability to analyze science and complex technologies, including from a business perspective.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Swedish and English.
- Analytical skills, with the ability to package and present results and conclusions in a clear way.
- Structured approach, with a good sense for order and administrative tasks.
- Double degree in both technology/engineering and business.
- Strong interest in entrepreneurship and innovation, especially tech-based.
- Experience from startup and/or investments/venture capital.
- Result-driven, with the ability to take own responsibility and work independently with multiple tasks simultaneously.
