Cellcolabs is a biotech impact start-up dedicated to advancing cell therapies for improved health outcomes. Our mission is to make clinical trial material for research more accessible and affordable through efficient large-scale production of high-quality mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs).
We are located at a leading science park and build on over 20 years of research experience. Our goal is to drive the availability of MSCs by reducing their price for research and clinical use.
Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead upcoming projects within production and process development. As the sole Project Manager in the production department, you will have a unique opportunity to establish project management standards, routines, and contribute to the overall quality and success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Project Leadership: Manage and lead tech transfer and scale-up projects from the Business Development team to Manufacturing, ensuring alignment with company goals, timelines, and GMP standards.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between Business Development, Manufacturing, and GMP teams, facilitating clear and effective communication to ensure project success.
- Process Development: Establish and refine project management processes and routines within the production department, setting the standard for how projects are executed and tracked.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks related to production scale-up and GMP compliance, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with the GMP team to ensure all projects meet regulatory and quality standards, contributing to the overall project quality.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and products into manufacturing.
- Future Planning: Contribute to the strategic planning for project management needs as the company grows.
- A Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
- A strong understanding of GMP regulations and manufacturing processes, preferably in the field of stem cell production or other advanced biotechnologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Project management training/qualification (e.g. PMP certification or equivalent).
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
