About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commodity and Project Buyer to join our team at Volvo Group. As a key member of our Group Trucks Purchasing department, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring high-quality materials and services for our global operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the supplier selection process for projects, ensuring that suppliers meet project targets and budget requirements.
  • Secure that suppliers are prepared for production, including capacity and system updates, with support from Supplier Host when needed.
  • Align supplier selection with segment strategy and segment business plan, ensuring a strong supplier base and meeting MCL requirements.
  • Secure the outcome of sourcing in a contractual package, with all agreements approved and signed.

Requirements

  • University degree in engineering or business, with a strong understanding of financial and technical aspects.
  • Motivated by change management and ability to drive change.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with multicultural experience an asset.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills, with a creative and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ownership and accountability, with a positive mindset and team player attitude.
  • Business acumen, negotiation skills, and ability to build and maintain strong relationships with counterparts.
