About the Role

We are seeking a Commodity and Project Buyer to join our Vehicle & Uptime Purchasing organization. This team is responsible for managing a total spend of 38 BSEK with 1,100 supply partners worldwide, covering trucks and bus brands in the Volvo Group. As a Commodity and Project Buyer, you will be accountable for the Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability, and Risk Management (QDCFTSR) of the supplier base on your segments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the supplier selection process in projects, ensuring that supplier selection complies with project targets and budget.
  • Secure that the supplier is prepared for production, including capacity and system updates, with Supplier Host support when needed.
  • Align supplier selection with the segment strategy and segment business plan.
  • Secure the outcome of sourcing in a contractual package, with all agreements approved and signed.

Requirements

  • University degree (Bachelor or Master), preferably in engineering or business.
  • Motivated by change management and ability to drive change.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Multicultural experience is an asset.
