Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the legal and commercial team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance and development to successfully achieve commercial objectives of the unit and the projects.
- Oversee the negotiation, drafting, and administration of contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and commercial needs.
- Drive commercial and claim strategies and work with appropriate stakeholders to ensure delivery of successful strategies to optimize contract terms, mitigate risks, and maximize commercial opportunities.
- In collaboration with the procurement team, develop and execute procurement strategies and advise project teams on the development of contract terms and conditions.
- Lead and support the project teams in resolving claims and excelling in disputes management and resolution.
- Provide legal and contractual advice and support to project teams, senior management, and other stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments to inform decision-making and strategy development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Law, Engineering, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience with FIDIC, ABT06, NS8407 and similar bespoke contracts is mandatory.
- Proven experience in contracts management, commercial operations, and procurement, preferably in the energy or infrastructure sector.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve results.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Sound understanding of legal and commercial principles, contract law, and risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, develop solutions, and make strategic decisions.
- Fluency in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.
