About the Job

We are seeking a Support Operations IT Finance Leader to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for supporting the global plan and digital tools that support the finance function of our operations. You will provide program and project leadership, technical leadership, and SAP expertise to support the global finance department of the Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Led and managed the IT Support Operations team that supports project systems, finance, and control.
  • Collaborated with customer partners to seamlessly integrate the program area into the overall strategic goals of the organization and improve business processes.
  • Managed budgets and contracts related to procurement services, software agreements, and support resources.
  • Authored and maintained the technical roadmap for project systems, finance, and control.
  • Responsible for operational excellence for assigned projects, including resources, requirements, project reviews, feasibility, prioritization, initiation, execution, and closure.
  • Monitored and led the collection of requirements, analysis, and determination of alternatives for finance organization processes.
  • Understood processes and complex requirements and translated them into simplified system designers and ERP functional solutions in SAP ECC6/S4 HANA.
  • Prepared detailed functional requirements and specification documents to help the technical team in the development of WRICEF objects for SAP FI/CO/PS and related modules.
  • Driven SAP standards for best practices and implemented best practices in the industry.
  • Evaluated and designed scalable best-in-class within emerging technologies. Provided recommendations for non-ERP solutions where applicable and contributed to the broader ALM platform.
  • Responsible for finance and project system-related interfaces with external systems & cross-module integration with other SAP modules.
  • Collaborated with external AMS partners to meet SLAs.
  • Identified root causes of operational issues, diagnosed problem areas, designed, and built solutions.
  • Applied and followed IT standards, including general IT controls, security, data confidentiality, quality, and project management.

Requirements:

  • Experience in multinational corporate environments, working with multicultural global teams that deliver ERP solutions through project implementations.
  • Experience in contributing to and leading multifunctional project deliveries.
  • Expert in SAP Finance and Controlling modules and their integration with other SAP modules.
  • Practical experience of 2-3 complete SAP ECC/S4HANA implementations with strong SAP product expertise for solution design.
  • Understanding of all SAP modules and how they are integrated.
  • Proven analytical ability and ability to work at the appropriate level of detail for stakeholders, lead process mapping exercises.
  • Has creative thinking and problem-solving ability to create effective and innovative patterns.
  • Ability to understand and translate complex concepts into clarity and simplicity.
  • Stay up-to-date with enabling technologies and work as a partner and change agent to support and promote their adoption and use.
  • Practical experience of the entire system development lifecycle: analysis, design, coding, testing, performance tuning, and documentation.

Education & Experience:

  • Candidate degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Technology, or equivalent discipline from an accredited university or college.
  • At least 8 years of experience in SAP ERP with a strong focus on FI/CO.
  • Strong foundation for standard SAP processes and modules.
  • Proven leadership ability in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience of program and project leadership and/or operations in a matrix environment.
  • Experience of implementing large IT systems.
  • Experience of SAP integration with multiple legacy system landscapes and third-party systems.
  • Strong communication skills with proven ability to function as a change agent and thought leader in business process development.
  • English language skills.

Preferred:

  • Global experience.
  • Agile and/or PMI certification.
  • SAP S4HANA experience or certification(s).
  • Knowledge of SAP Development (ABAP, Fiori, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Experience from the manufacturing industry.
