About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled PhD researcher to join our team at Scholarshipscafe. As a PhD researcher in biomolecular engineering, you will be responsible for conducting research in the field of data-driven approaches to drug design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement deep biomolecular generative models to engineer new molecules with desired properties and repurpose existing molecules for new tasks.
- Collect and analyze large amounts of data, including structural and biochemical information about targets and ligands, genomic and phenotypic data.
- Build computational models to improve our understanding of the complex relationships between molecular structure and biological function.
- Use machine learning, statistical modeling, and simulation to identify new drug candidates, optimize leads, and predict drug efficacy and toxicity.
Qualifications:
- Master's level degree corresponding to at least 240 higher education credits in Computer Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
- Strong background and experience in Python programming and deep learning.
- Previous experience in Generative AI and/or molecular modeling is a merit, but not required.
Requirements:
- Sound verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
