About the Risk Control Function
The Risk Control team at Trustly Group AB forms a crucial part of our second line of defense, which includes the Compliance Function, Risk Function, and the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). This team collaborates closely with the Compliance department to ensure effective knowledge sharing and cooperation.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Risk Officer to enhance our Risk Control team at Trustly Group AB. In this role, you will report directly to the Chief Risk Officer and operate from our Stockholm office. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of risk control activities, including conducting risk assessments, implementing controls, and facilitating training sessions. Additionally, you will engage in numerous tasks to ensure the effective execution of the annual plan and address any ad hoc issues that may arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the annual plan, which includes control activities, risk assessments, and training initiatives.
- Assist in the development and execution of the risk management framework, including the drafting and revision of internal policies and governing documents.
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on risk-related matters.
- Prepare reports for the board of directors.
- Monitor, track, and disseminate information regarding the risks faced by Trustly.
Candidate Profile
- A degree in economics or a related field, complemented by relevant experience in a regulatory or supervisory financial environment, or in a consultancy role focused on compliance or risk management.
- Proven experience in risk management and the implementation of internal controls.
- Familiarity with PSD2 or AML/CFT regulations is advantageous.
- A collaborative team player with strong communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive individual with a positive attitude, taking ownership of assigned and self-identified tasks.
- Fluency in English is essential, as most communication occurs in English and Swedish.
