About the Compliance Function

Trustly Group AB's second line of defense consists of the Compliance Function, Risk Function, and the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). The position is within the Compliance team, which consists of three Compliance Officers, excluding the position now being hired. The Function is led by the Chief Compliance Officer, giving the function a total of five Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs).

About the Role

We are seeking a Compliance Officer to join our Compliance team in Trustly Group AB. As a Compliance Officer, you will report to Trustly's Chief Compliance Officer and be based in the Stockholm office. Your day-to-day work will include providing advice and support, performing controls, holding training sessions, and executing other tasks to ensure the function is executing the annual plan and addressing ad-hoc issues in the most efficient manner. You will be part of a team of five covering Trustly's Swedish operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute on the annual plan, which includes control activities, risk assessments, and training
  • Assist in developing and implementing a compliance management framework, including drafting and revising internal governing documents (policies, etc.)
  • Advise and support internal stakeholders on compliance-related matters
  • Conduct regulatory horizon scanning
  • Draft reports, such as those to the board of directors
  • Monitor, track, and share knowledge on regulatory intelligence
Requirements
  • You have an academic degree, preferably in law, with relevant working experience from a regulatory/supervisory financial environment or from a consultancy firm working with compliance or risk-related issues towards the financial industry
  • Experience in risk management and performing controls is an advantage
  • Previous working experience regarding PSD2 or AML/CFT is an advantage
  • A team player with high communication skills and the ability to deal with diverse teams of both internal and external stakeholders in a proactive manner
  • Can-do attitude and take ownership of given and proactively identified tasks
  • Fluent in English; most communication is in English and Swedish
