Role Summary: As a Need Planner at IKEA, you will engage in dynamic and challenging projects that foster both personal and organizational growth.

Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the need planning process, ensuring a streamlined and effective supply chain strategy. This involves developing a precise and balanced Need Plan that meets agreed service levels while minimizing total costs. This approach is vital to ensuring the availability of components for our customers and realizing our Vision of enhancing everyday life for many.

In addition, you will manage the stock structure for your designated range, evaluating and balancing total needs against capacity to create a viable supply plan. You will also have the chance to influence the need planning during product transitions.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Need Planner, your duties will include:

  • Leading initiatives within the supply chain to identify and address potential overstock or stock shortages.
  • Taking charge of Sales & Supply Planning, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure service levels are met at the lowest possible cost.
  • Proactively creating, executing, and monitoring need plans at both operational and tactical levels.
  • Contributing to the development of optimal replenishment solutions in partnership with supply chain stakeholders.
  • Leading or participating in additional projects within or across functions.

Candidate Profile:
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about planning and leading global initiatives. You should derive energy from leadership roles, engaging with multiple stakeholders, and managing diverse projects. Building trusting relationships through excellent communication skills is essential.

You should possess professional experience in supply chain management, particularly on a global scale. A proactive approach to motivating and inspiring others, combined with the ability to maintain a holistic view from supplier to customer, is crucial.
