Key Responsibilities

  • Execute legal activities of medium complexity and provide sound legal advice to support SWIFT activities and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Undertake specific legal studies, investigate, and propose guidelines to minimize company exposure.
  • Draft, review, and recommend company contracts, participate in negotiations, and recommend amendments to contracts worldwide for customers, suppliers, development projects, and network.
  • Ensure regular updates of the company contracts database to provide management and staff with an efficient tool for contract follow-up.
  • Organize direct claims procedures and internal actions to maximize services.
  • Liaise with management, staff, customers, suppliers, lawyers, public administrations, and other stakeholders.
  • Undertake administrative tasks within the department and serve as an effective backup for colleagues.
  • Maintain and develop a deep understanding of evolutions in relevant areas of the law, including commercial and competition laws, licensing issues, and telecommunication matters, to identify potential impacts on SWIFT operations.
  • Coach less experienced colleagues and lead risk assessments, take responsibility for a selection of controls, report on control status, and detect points of control failure.

We are seeking professionals with:

Education

University law degree.

Experience

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in legal matters within an international financial and/or IT/telecom environment - Member of 'In house Counsel Association' or equivalent.
