We are seeking a highly skilled Additive Manufacturing Project Manager to join our team at Saab's Aeronautics Centre for Additive Manufacturing (ACAM). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating Additive Manufacturing initiatives for our future fighter systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Update AM Roadmap: Create and maintain a comprehensive Additive Manufacturing roadmap for Future Fighter Systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals.
- Coordinate End-to-End Implementation: Oversee the end-to-end implementation of Additive Manufacturing as a capability in our business unit, ensuring seamless integration with design, production, and quality assurance processes.
- Identify AM Capabilities: Identify and prioritize Additive Manufacturing capabilities that need to be incorporated into our Research and Development (R&T) plan, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals.
- Collaborate with Designers: Work closely with Additive Manufacturing designers from Advanced Platforms to develop and implement innovative solutions for our future fighter systems.
- Problem-Solving and Advice: Provide expert advice and support to design, production, and quality assurance teams on Additive Manufacturing-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to production.
- Participate in Common Projects: Collaborate with other teams and departments to participate in Saab's common projects, sharing best practices and expertise in Additive Manufacturing.
- Develop AM Strategies: Contribute to the development of Additive Manufacturing strategies and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals.
- Act as a Point of Contact: Serve as a primary point of contact between different departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration on Additive Manufacturing-related matters.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Additive Manufacturing professional with a solid understanding of various AM methods, including their possibilities and limitations. You should have a broad and general understanding of several AM methods, with experience in developing ways of working and finding new applications.
You should have an academic background or several years of experience in Additive Manufacturing and development work. Experience working with different AM applications, materials, and processes is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. A hands-on approach, willingness to contribute beyond primary responsibilities, and a natural ability to network and build relationships are also required.
