About the Role

We are seeking a talented Game Designer to collaborate with our team at Embark, a company that values creativity and innovation in game development.

As a Game Designer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing gameplay features, mechanics, and systems for our PvP Action Game. You will work closely with the Design Director and other designers to refine concepts and ideas, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to bring your designs to life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement emergent gameplay systems, including destruction and physics, as well as elemental gameplay
  • Develop and balance weapons and character abilities
  • Design and implement PvP Game Mode features
  • Design and implement game camera, character movement, and controls
  • Design scoring, reward, and social systems that support the core gameplay experience
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience designing and developing games, with a proven track record of shipped games
  • Strong understanding of AAA PvP gameplay and systems design, including player psychology, UX design, and gameplay mechanics and dynamics
  • Experience with analytics, data, and statistics to monitor game balance and behavior
  • Proficiency with the Unreal Engine and experience with Blueprints and scripting
  • Strong creative and problem-solving skills, with a passion for game development
