Electrical Quality Professional

At Hitachi ABB Power Grids, we have a vast product portfolio consisting of Power, Distribution, Dry and Traction transformers, alongside components such as bushings and tap changers, and insulation. This equipment is used worldwide for the conversion of electrical energy.

We are seeking an Electrical Quality Professional to drive quality excellence within our function across Region Europe, for one specific Product Line.

This role requires a dedicated professional who is available to work onsite, ensuring seamless collaboration and direct engagement with our team.

You will report directly to the Hub Europe Quality Manager and be located in one of our production facilities: Roigheim (Germany), Figeholm (Sweden), Lodz (Poland), Ludvika (Sweden). No relocation assistance is provided.

Your Responsibilities
  • Support the development of Design FMEA through training and practical application.
  • Identify critical deliverables for Quality Engineering.
  • Enhance review culture, processes and methods.
  • Establish control mechanisms along Engineering processes and secure adherence.
  • Ensure effective Verification and Validation practices, including Quality Inspection Cards - QICs, Envelope of Confidence - EoCs, test results, etc.
  • Assure Engineering processes are fit for purpose and secure they are adhered to by all units in that Product Line.
Job Requirements
  • Masters degree in Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years leadership experience in Quality Management within an Engineering environment.
  • Previous hands-on experience in electro-mechanical or related industry as Quality Engineer or Specialist.
  • Expertise in problem solving with solid Root Cause Analysis using different methodologies.
  • Strong exposure to processes and methods such as PPAP, APQP, Lean 6 Sigma, etc. and tools like Ishikawa, FTA, FMEA, QFD, etc.
  • Proven experience in Marketing & Sales.
  • Excellent interpersonal and multi-cultural skills, with fluency in English. Local language skills are a plus.
