About the Role

We are seeking a talented Game Designer to collaborate with our team at Embark Studios, a company that values creativity and innovation.

As a Game Designer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing gameplay features, mechanics, and systems for our upcoming PvP Action Game. You will work closely with the Design Director and other designers to refine concepts and ideas, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to bring your designs to life.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and implement emergent gameplay systems, including destruction and physics, as well as elemental gameplay.
  2. Design, implement, and balance weapons and character abilities.
  3. Develop PvP Game Mode design and implementation.
  4. Design game camera, character movement, and controls.
  5. Design scoring, reward, and social systems that support the core gameplay experience.
Requirements
  1. 3+ years of experience designing and making games, with a proven track record of shipped games.
  2. A good grasp of AAA PvP gameplay and systems design, including player psychology, UX design, and gameplay mechanics and dynamics.
  3. Experience with analytics, data, and statistics to monitor game balance and behavior.
  4. Proficiency with the Unreal Engine and experience with Blueprints and scripting.
  5. A creative and curious mind, with a passion for game development.
  6. A good knowledge and familiarity with game maker disciplines, including coding, animation, game physics, and 3D Art.
  7. A great creative collaborator in cross-disciplinary groups.
  8. Professional English communication skills.
