About the Compliance Department
The Compliance Function at Trustly Group AB serves as the second line of defense, working alongside the Risk Function and the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). The Compliance team comprises three Compliance Officers, including the position currently being filled, and is led by the Chief Compliance Officer, totaling five full-time employees.

Position Overview
We are seeking a Compliance Officer to enhance our Compliance team at Trustly Group AB. This role will report directly to the Chief Compliance Officer and will be based in our Stockholm office. The Compliance Officer will engage in a variety of compliance-related activities, including providing guidance and support, conducting controls, and facilitating training sessions. Additionally, the role encompasses a broad spectrum of tasks aimed at ensuring the effective execution of the annual compliance plan and addressing various ad hoc issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement the annual compliance plan, which includes control activities, risk assessments, and training initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and execution of the compliance management framework, including drafting and updating internal governing documents such as policies.
  • Provide advice and support to internal stakeholders on compliance-related issues.
  • Conduct regulatory horizon scanning to stay ahead of compliance requirements.
  • Prepare reports for the board of directors.
  • Monitor, track, and disseminate knowledge on regulatory intelligence.

Candidate Profile
  • A degree in law or a related field, with relevant experience in a regulatory or supervisory financial environment, or in a consultancy role focused on compliance or risk management.
  • Experience in risk management and control activities is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with PSD2 or AML/CFT regulations is a plus.
  • A collaborative team player with strong communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse internal and external stakeholders proactively.
  • A proactive approach with a strong sense of ownership for assigned and self-identified tasks.
  • Fluency in English is essential, as most communication occurs in English and Swedish.
