Project DescriptionThe PhD research will be conducted within the Vinnova-Embrapii project, which aims to model, simulate, and benchmark a new energy-efficient and sustainable comminution technology. The project involves collaboration with international partners, including the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Centre for Mineral Technology, Vale S.A., and Comminution Reimagined Sweden AB.
Responsibilities- Conduct research on modelling and simulation of comminution processes
- Develop and implement new methods for energy-efficient crushing and milling
- Collaborate with other researchers and industry partners to achieve project objectives
- Communicate research results through publications and presentations
The successful candidate will have a strong background in industrial and materials science, with expertise in modelling and simulation, and experience in research and development. The candidate should also have excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Working ConditionsThe position will be based at the Department of Industrial and Materials Science at Chalmers tekniska högskola. The working hours will be approximately 40 hours per week, with a mix of research and teaching responsibilities.
