We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Informatics Specialist to join our team. Reporting into the Informatics Technical Lead, this role will deliver installation, configuration, integration, training, and troubleshooting services for our diagnostics products.
This position works out of our Core Diagnostics division. This is a role that combines field work and remote work, making the workday flexible and varied. Our team is empowering smarter medical and economic decision making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life. Every day, more than 10 million tests are run on our diagnostics instruments, providing lab results for millions of people.
Main Purpose of RoleA technical expert focused on the end-to-end delivery of the AlinIQ Digital Health applications and at the center of delivering on our consumer healthcare strategy. Core responsibilities of this role include complex IT implementation, testing, training, and escalation management. Along with the technical aptitude, this role is client-facing and individuals need to also possess excellent communication, critical thinking, and other soft skills to ensure high client satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities- Responsible for the end-to-end implementation, testing, and training of the Abbott Digital applications with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
- Apply technical IT and networking knowledge to analyze user needs; gather customer requirements; design an integrated, scalable, and comprehensive informatics solution to improve the automation and informatics solutions for clinical diagnostic healthcare customers.
- Must be able to multi-task and coordinate with a complex network of departments throughout all levels of an organization, such as sales representatives, lab managers, project managers, IT personnel, HIS and LIS personnel, internal and external vendors, and contractors.
- Serves as an informatics applications expert for more junior members of the organization. Develops mastery of the Abbott processes and ability to lead by example across the Area delivery organization.
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system. Adheres to and promotes the Abbott Code of Business Conduct.
Education:
- Computer Science, Information Systems, Medical or Hospital Informatics, or related disciplines.
Experience/Background:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the healthcare industry or 4 years of relevant information technology experience outside of healthcare.
