The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Informatics Technical Specialist to join our team at Abbott. As a key member of our Core Diagnostics division, you will play a critical role in delivering installation, configuration, integration, training, and troubleshooting services for our diagnostics products.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, combining field work and remote work. You will be based in the Gothenburg area and will have the flexibility to work in a variety of settings.
Main Purpose of Role
As a technical expert, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the AlinIQ Digital Health applications. Your core responsibilities will include complex IT implementation, testing, training, and escalation management. You will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and deliver high-quality solutions that meet their expectations.
Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for the end-to-end implementation, testing, and training of the Abbott Digital applications with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
- Apply technical IT and networking knowledge to analyze user needs, gather customer requirements, and design integrated, scalable, and comprehensive informatics solutions to improve automation and informatics solutions for clinical diagnostic healthcare customers.
- Must be able to multi-task and coordinate with a complex network of departments throughout all levels of an organization, including sales representatives, lab managers, project managers, IT personnel, HIS and LIS personnel, internal and external vendors and contractors, and senior-level management as needed.
- Serves as an informatics applications expert for more junior members of the organization, develops mastery of the Abbott processes, and leads by example across the Area delivery organization.
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system and adheres to and promotes the Abbott Code of Business Conduct.
Qualifications
- Computer Science, Information Systems, Medical or Hospital Informatics, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the healthcare industry or 4 years of relevant information technology experience outside of healthcare.
