Director of Regulatory Reporting

Nasdaq is a leading financial institution dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance and operational excellence. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Regulatory Compliance to lead our team and ensure compliance with MiFIR, EMIR, and SFTR reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the regulatory compliance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Foster a culture of compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with MiFIR, EMIR, and SFTR reporting requirements.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adaptations to reporting processes.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and industry groups to stay informed about regulatory developments.
  • Oversee the quality and accuracy of data and reports submitted to regulatory authorities.
  • Implement and maintain robust data validation and reconciliation processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of regulatory reports.
  • Develop and maintain strong operational and system controls to support regulatory reporting.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure systems are capable of meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with regulatory reporting.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on the organization's reporting processes.
  • Implement changes to processes and systems as required by new or amended regulations.
  • Conduct impact assessments and develop action plans to ensure compliance.
  • Set and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the regulatory reporting function.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on the status of regulatory reporting compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting processes.
  • Engage with Exchange business units and CCP on regulatory reporting matters.
  • Act as liaison with regulators on issues and questions pertaining to our regulatory reporting.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Business, Law, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience (7+ years) in regulatory reporting within the financial services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of MiFIR, EMIR, and SFTR reporting requirements.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong understanding of data management, operational controls, and IT systems related to regulatory reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment and manage multiple priorities.
