About the Role

This role is part of the Group Truck Technology (GTT) onsite team within the Digital Simulation Platform organization of GTT.

The Application Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring the integrity of GTT Engineering operations. This position serves as a liaison for stakeholders involved in physical testing and laboratory environments. It is essential to collaborate with both local and global colleagues to provide support and enhance infrastructure for business solutions.

This role entails analytical, technical, and administrative tasks to assist local users and maintain the testing environment. You will also independently assist stakeholders in establishing technical solutions. The mission is to support IT system users by identifying issues, recommending enhancements, and driving improvement initiatives for designated applications or groups of applications. From routine challenges to intricate problems, this position is dedicated to ensuring uninterrupted operational services crucial to our business functions. In addition to swiftly addressing issues and offering temporary solutions, you will prioritize automating repetitive tasks to improve operational efficiency and scalability. With a holistic approach, you will diligently tackle issues throughout the entire application lifecycle while maintaining a strong focus on cybersecurity to protect our assets and data. Furthermore, you are dedicated to nurturing a culture of innovation, continuously refining processes, enhancing user experiences, and delivering substantial strategic value to our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively learn and recommend hosting capabilities and best practices for application delivery teams.
  • Ensure quality and continuous enhancements regarding availability, capacity, security, and IT service continuity in delivered application operations and hosting services, collaborating with internal and external infrastructure teams.
  • Adhere to cybersecurity protocols and report any discovered security issues.
  • Functionally engage in incident, problem, knowledge, and change management processes and roles, essential for maintaining application runtime quality. Responsible for operational documentation of implemented application components.
  • Provide advisory support to stakeholders to identify their needs and challenges and determine the best solutions.
  • Deliver support, conduct pre-checks, and perform preventive maintenance tasks according to support service agreements for industrial, commercial, and engineering locations.
  • Monitor application performance and implement optimizations to minimize outages.
  • Act as a guardian of the value proposition in every aspect of the Agile delivery process.

Required Competencies

  • Application operations expertise.
  • Comprehensive IT background, including hardware, software, and network support.
  • Knowledge in specific IT infrastructure areas such as Windows (client & server), Linux, and databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience working in an Agile team environment.
  • Commitment to delivering customer value.
  • Ability to work patiently with stakeholders who may be frustrated and require quick resolutions or guidance.
  • Fluency in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.
  • Interest in understanding end-user needs regarding IT.

Desirable Competencies/Certificates

  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Agile SAFe certification.
