Join our team of data experts at Volvo Group, where you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of sustainable transport solutions. As a Senior Data Analyst, you'll work closely with stakeholders to gather, manage, and document business requirements, and collaborate with information architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to identify data sources and assist in data extraction for analysis.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Mine data from primary and secondary sources, reorganizing it in a format that's easily readable and understood
  • Closely cooperate with stakeholders to gather, manage, and document business requirements
  • Collaborate with information architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to identify data sources and assist in data extraction for analysis
  • Create appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process and duplicate or replicate the analysis if necessary
  • Support the data team in identifying, documenting, and revising reporting requirements
  • Support initiatives for data integrity and normalization
  • Provide data profiling and basic quality assurance of imported data to make it usable
  • Use BI tools (graphs, infographics, and other methods) to visualize data

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Data Analyst Chapter team in Sweden, where you'll work on delivering best-in-class data products for business cases. You'll be part of a large, multi-cultural organization with 600+ employees and contractors located in 7 countries.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Background in BI application development
  • Experience in (captive) financial services and understanding of processes and execution models in financial services
  • Experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases and strong knowledge in writing T-SQL and PL/SQL scripts
  • Knowledge of data gathering, cleaning, and transforming techniques
  • Overall information technology experience
  • Experience in analytics design and usage, or background working with or as a data modeler
  • Goal-oriented and positive attitude to deliver against targets
  • Strong understanding of data and information
  • Business savvy, with an understanding of information from a business perspective
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Business requirement management
  • Able to work independently and proactively
  • Reporting and data visualization skills using software like Power BI
  • Global, open, innovative, holistic, and goal-oriented mindset
  • Knowledge of information modeling methods and technologies preferred
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations
