Key Responsibilities
  • Install, adjust, repair and perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electronic, mechatronic, electromechanical or mechanical equipment.
  • Use troubleshooting equipment to assist in problem solving.
  • Assist with technical expertise for evaluation and decision on necessary adjustments in the PM plan for instruments/units.
  • Record and report abnormal functioning of equipment or of conditions and initiate corrective actions.

The ideal candidate will have a three-year technical degree or equivalent related work experience, as well as one year's experience in the installation, adjustment, maintenance and repair of equipment or experience deemed equivalent.

The position requires strong computer skills, ability to understand and interpret instructions, formulate emails and memos, and ask clear questions to ensure understanding. The Instrumentation and Calibration Expert must also be able to write clear routine reports and correspondence, respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, employees and/or supervisors, and instruct other techniques in relevant instruments and its operation.

The working environment will require the ability to work in a laboratory, controlled environments requiring personal protective equipment (e.g., lab coat, safety glasses, etc.). Successful applicants will be required to complete a drug and alcohol test, and other background checks.
