Head of Risk Control Payment Institutions to Loomis

We are now looking for a Head of Risk Control Payment Institutions to be based at our headquarters in Stockholm.

About the position

In your role as Head of Risk Control Payment Institutions, you will be responsible for monitoring and overseeing risk management within our regulated payment service companies in the Loomis Group – Loomis Digital Solutions, Loomis Sweden, and Loomis Denmark.

You will ensure that the risk management activities in these companies meet both internal and external requirements, while also acting as the second line of defense for risk control.

An important part of your role will be to support boards, CEOs, and employees in their efforts to comply with regulations and requirements. You will serve as a trusted advisor and a key player in our mission to build a secure and sustainable business.

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Ensuring that significant risks are identified and effectively managed by relevant functions, while also verifying that business units monitor their risks and that shortcomings in risk management are identified and reported.
- Monitoring and analyzing the company’s risks, identifying new risks as circumstances change, and reporting regularly to the CEO and board.
- Developing an annual, risk-based plan for risk control activities and providing recommendations on risk strategy and risk appetite, as well as evaluating risks for new or significantly changed products, services, and operational changes.
- Ensuring that internal regulations, processes, and risk models comply with legislation and internal requirements, proposing changes, and ensuring that identified deficiencies are addressed.
- Reviewing and challenging decisions affecting risk exposure, evaluating assumptions in financial reporting, and maintaining an ongoing dialogue with the CEO and board on risk-related matters.

You will be part of Risk Control Payments Institutions, which is positioned within Loomis AB’s Group Risk Control function (the second line of defense). You will report to the Head of Risk Control of the Loomis Group as well as to the CEO and Board of Directors of each respective company.

Candidate profile

The right candidate has an academic degree, preferably in economics or engineering, and at least five years of relevant professional experience within the risk function or risk control function at a payment institution, credit market company, or bank.

You have experience from various workplaces, which is why consultancy experience is considered a plus. It is also an advantage if you have worked in a Nordic context. To thrive and succeed in this role, it is essential that you possess strong communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to manage different stakeholders effectively.
