About Skanska

Skanska Group uses knowledge and foresight to shape the way people live, work, and connect. More than 135 years in the making, we're one of the world's largest development and construction companies, with 2024 revenue totaling SEK 177 billion. We operate across select markets in the Nordics, Europe and the United States. Together with our customers and the collective expertise of our 27,000+ teammates, we create innovative and sustainable solutions that support healthy living beyond our lifetime.

At our headquarters in Stockholm we set the direction for the company at large and for our local units to thrive. Among other things, we create global policies and strategies, define and follow up on targets, and ensure financial capacity. Working with Skanska means never standing still - and making an impact every single day. Together, we use our unique skillsets to shape the way that people live, work and connect - from homes and commercial properties to infrastructure and transportation. On a personal level, you'll be able to explore what you're passionate about, do more of what you love and maybe even do it somewhere else on the globe. You'll be involved in projects and ideas that enrich your life at work and beyond.

This role is a perfect fit for someone who understands that sustainability is a strategic business advantage and has the ability to communicate the financial and operational benefits of sustainability initiatives to both internal and external stakeholders.

What you will do
As a Sustainability Analyst in our Sustainability and EHS Management team, you will take lead in demonstrating how sustainability initiatives drive both sustainability goals and business success. Your responsibilities will include developing business cases that clearly showcase how sustainability can enhance profitability, mitigate risks, and strengthen our competitive edge. You will conduct market analysis, track global trends, and transform sustainability objectives into actionable strategies that align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the CCF Sustainability & Innovation team with research, analysis, and reporting to meet stakeholder expectations and contribute to sustainability efforts.
* Develop insights from data and prepare reports, presentations, and narratives that communicate sustainability performance and value creation to both internal and external stakeholders.
* Contribute to the development of emissions reduction strategies, including science-based targets, net zero roadmaps, and other sustainability-related goals.
* Analyze Skanska's environmental, social, and economic impact to identify opportunities for improvement and maximize positive outcomes.
* Lead strategic analysis across Skanska's value chain to ensure sustainability goals are met and identify key areas for growth.
* Track the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives, monitor progress towards goals, and recommend improvements.
* Drive projects focused on sustainability best practices, knowledge-sharing, and staying ahead of industry trends.
* Provide support to business units in identifying and capitalizing on sustainability-related business opportunities, contributing to the day-to-day operations of the team.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate for this position will have a relevant university degree and at least 5 years of experience in a sustainability-focused role, ideally within a corporate setting. Whether you have more or slightly less experience, we value a genuine passion for driving sustainability and making a meaningful impact. A broad understanding of measuring and managing environmental and social impacts in a commercial context is highly valued, with deeper knowledge in areas such as environment and climate considered a distinct advantage. Experience in data analysis, sustainability modeling, and performance tracking within a complex organizational setup is an important area of expertise and will be key to success in the role. Experience in the construction industry or similar sectors, along with familiarity with sustainability issues relevant to our business, is a plus but not a requirement.

Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential, as you'll be working with colleagues and stakeholders around the world. Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences will be highly valued. Experience in project management, particularly in sustainability initiatives, will also be an asset.

To Succeed in This Role You Need

- A collaborative mindset, with the ability to build strong relationships and work effectively across teams, driving synergies and fostering a positive working environment.
* Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey sustainability concepts to diverse audiences and engage stakeholders effectively.
* Excellent analytical skills to assess sustainability and financial data, blending these areas to deliver valuable insights that inform decision-making and strategy.
* Strategic problem-solving abilities, with a focus on anticipating challenges and developing innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement.
* A results-oriented approach, consistently delivering high-quality outcomes and meeting targets while adapting to a dynamic environment.
