About the Role:
As the Purchasing Manager for Secondary Raw Materials, you will play a key role in our Commercial team. This is your opportunity to contribute directly to our vision by securing the most profitable raw material mix while engaging with our state-of-the-art smelters and a collaborative purchasing team. You will be at the forefront of sustainable sourcing, ensuring that our supply chains align with strong Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Maximize Profitability: Strategically purchase secondary raw materials (recyclables) for Boliden's smelters, focusing on long-term profitability.
- Contract Management: Negotiate and execute a variety of contracts while overseeing delivery planning to optimize inventory and raw material mix.
- ESG Performance: Assess and evaluate the ESG performance of our business partners.
- Industry Representation: Be our voice at international conferences and trade events while exploring new market opportunities.
- Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean principles to enhance our processes and tools continually.
- Data-Driven: Monitor KPIs, analyze performance deviations, and create actionable improvement plans.
- Travel: Engage in domestic and international travel to ensure seamless operations and relationship building.

Qualifications:
- A relevant university/college degree, preferably with technical or commercial focus in the raw materials industry.
- Proven expertise in business analysis and robust contract negotiation skills.
- Experience in the metals and mining sector, with knowledge in pricing and risk management.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
