Job Description

As a Solution Architect, you will work within the Technical Service Area Network. We focus on operating and managing the Network while developing the next generation Network for cloud-based application delivery, collapsing our Network, and running Network as code to increase end user experience and Network availability for our business across all locations worldwide. We work closely with suppliers and outsourced functions to govern optimal spend and cooperation within the Network domain.

As a Solution Architect, you will be at the center of the action, contributing and learning new skills every day, ensuring that global Network delivery aligns with business needs.

Responsibilities

1. Take lead in design work for new solutions supporting business initiatives requiring new functions and services.
2. Develop, build, and manage the Network, transforming our legacy network to network as code with a service layer.
3. Ensure that architectural policies and guidelines are followed in accordance with the roadmap.
4. Document service design packages and service descriptions.
5. Document guidelines, processes, and routines.
6. Cooperate and coordinate with stakeholders' contributions with Network knowledge to meet business needs.
7. Contribute to the Domain and Product Area strategy and OKRs.
8. Strive for cost efficiency and automation based on trends and new technologies for service-layer oriented Networking.
9. Provide technical engineering and best practices concerning the overall Network.
10. Stay current with industry trends and best practices, making recommendations as needed to help our company develop.
11. Understand and visualize concepts that are not yet concrete, using problem-solving skills, strong analytic ability, creativity, and customer and business drive to find a solution.
12. See the big picture, identify patterns, and instinctively know how to win support for your ideas.
13. Take the initiative and are not afraid to take the first steps to identify and address existing and potential obstacles, issues, and opportunities.

Qualifications
Who are you?

As a Solution Architect at our company, we believe you are a true team player with several years of experience in global IT and complex network environments, with a basic understanding of Agile methodology. You can take responsibility, work proactively, and continuously improve activities in complex, quickly transforming environments. You will be a key player, and we believe you are adaptable, collaborative, open-minded, and able to work in a flexible environment with a non-prestigious approach.

We believe you have experience in:

1. Network design and Network architecture.
2. Creating high and low-level designs.
3. Planning, design, and lifecycle management for global WAN networks (either from ISP or large IT organizations).
4. The ability to understand business needs and transform them into designs for new services or infrastructure functionalities.
5. Design and implementation of routing, switching, WAN optimization, MP-BGP, Ethernet QoS, DMVPN, VPLS, etc.
6. A curious mindset to learn and understand how Network delivery can support business needs.
7. The ability to recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies, and cross-silo redundancies and apply architectural principles to business solutions.
8. An understanding of product development from ideation to release.
9. Cloud networking and cloud connectivity solutions in a multicloud environment.
10. Understanding of network security (IPS, proxy, firewall, reverse-proxy, load balancing, VPN).
11. Experience in micro-segmentation and profiling.
12. IP Networking and SDWAN and SD-LAN.
13. Running network as code.
14. Scripting, Python, Ansible, Git, etc.
15. Network automation and programming.
16. Experience working with APIs and system integrations.
17. Knowledge and experience in Cisco and Aruba environments.

Furthermore, we believe you have expertise in one or more of the following:

1. 802.1x Network Access Control.
2. BGP and internet routing.
3. Cisco ICE.
4. Cisco Wireless at the enterprise level.
5. Aruba Clearpass.
6. Aruba Center.
7. PCI/DSS.
8. Infoblox IPAM.
