We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of HR – North and Central Europe to join us in either Aarhus, Denmark or Gothenburg, Sweden.

The candidate in this role is to be a trusted partner to senior leaders and managers, providing expert guidance and support on all aspects of people management. The role will navigate a blend of strategic and operational components, ensuring HR initiatives align with business goals and driving positive employee relations.

The role holds a position in the North Central Europe Leadership team and supports the North & Central Europe Senior Vice President.

The Opportunity

1. Supports key HR business processes: talent review and succession planning, career management and development, supports leaders in performance management and talent acquisition in a manner that differentiates performance and leads to a high performing culture within the organisation.
2. Supports the execution of the Global Forwarding HR strategy and solutions in support of both short-term and long-term business goals.
3. Ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing by validating employee data, establishing authorisation and approval processes, adhering to regulations, implementing segregation of duties, reconciling records, and maintaining clear communication with employees.
4. Partners with People Leaders to steward complex workplace investigations & grievances.
5. Commercially astute individual who understands business drivers and metrics to provide leaders with insights and recommendations.
6. Interpretation & advice on legislation and Toll Policies, Standards & Procedures to ensure compliance and resolution of employee relations matters.

What you’ll need to succeed

1. Extensive Generalist Human Resources experience and local HR knowledge of the Nordic region.
2. Bachelor’s level in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law or a business-related discipline.
3. Applying a commercial focus to advise & make recommendations to the business.
4. Demonstrate collaborative nature - seeks to improve overall Toll business results.
5. Proven recruitment skills including behavioural based interviewing.
6. Proficient with HRIS systems (e.g. Workday) & Microsoft Office Suite applications.
7. Proficient in English and ideally a second / third language (e.g. German, Swedish, Danish or Polish).
