Your opportunity:

Join our dynamic team at Boliden as a Mine Planning Engineer. This is a full-time, temporary position based in Boliden, with some business travel required. You will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing mine plans to ensure efficient and safe extraction of resources.

You will collaborate with a diverse team of geologists, engineers, and other professionals across Boliden Mine Sites. Our supportive and collaborative work environment will help you thrive and achieve your career goals.

What you will do:

- Develop and optimize mine plans to ensure efficient and safe extraction of resources.
- Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and other team members to design and implement mining strategies.
- Conduct scoping, feasibility, and pre-feasibility studies and cost analysis for mining projects.
- Support Mining Teams in their daily operational challenges.
- Monitor and evaluate mining operations to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

What you bring:

- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering.
- Over 5 years of proven experience in mine planning and design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in mine planning software (e.g., Deswik, Haulsim, Ventsim, etc.).
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in English, with Swedish being a merit.
- A Category B driving license.
