About The Role

Sustainability is at the core of Instabee's business model and we drive it as an integral part of our company vision and strategy. We are now looking for an analytical Sustainability Controller that can lead our sustainability reporting and compliance. You will perform our carbon accounting for internal and external reporting, keep us up to date on regulations such as CSRD, and support strategic sustainability projects.

Some Of The Things You Will Do

  1. Data collection: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to collect data related to sustainability metrics, e.g., carbon emissions and energy consumption. Ensure quality of data through triangulation.
  2. Sustainability / carbon accounting: Own the carbon accounting model and logic. Track and analyse sustainability KPIs to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Reporting: Develop sustainability performance reports and data submissions, e.g., annual sustainability report, EU Taxonomy report, and investor/merchant surveys. Manage external assurance processes for key sustainability disclosures (e.g., carbon accounting verification).
  4. Compliance with regulations and frameworks: Project lead the implementation of CSRD and double materiality assessment. Stay up to date with existing and coming regulations and industry standards and support the business to proactively manage these.
  5. Support strategic projects: Support the sustainability team in decision making and impact projects by providing data-driven insights and documentation, e.g., cost benefit analysis.
  6. Cross-functional collaboration: Engage with internal stakeholders to communicate sustainability performance, assess sustainability risks, and educate on sustainability-related issues. Collaborate with external stakeholders (e.g., regulators, NGOs, industry groups) to align with broader sustainability efforts.
  7. Continuous improvement and innovation: Develop Instabee accounting and reporting processes to align with best practices in terms of quality and efficiency.

Your Future Team
You will be part of the Global Sustainability team at Instabee, but you will also work very closely with our Operations and other parts of the organization to collect data and communicate sustainability performance and insights. You will report to the Sustainability Project Manager.

What We're Looking For

  1. 2-4 years of experience in sustainability reporting
  2. Experience with carbon accounting according to GHG Protocol
  3. Experience from managing data collection and projects with multiple stakeholders
  4. Experience from working with large data sets and databases, driving insights and ensuring data quality
  5. Understanding of sustainability regulations, experience from working with CSRD and double materiality assessment is a merit
  6. Self-driven, used to drive your own work, identifying issues and solving them
  7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, working collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization to achieve shared goals.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, ensuring effective communication. Beneficial with fluency in Swedish.
  9. University education in a relevant area
