This role is about working hands-on to ensure that the products we sell in the market meet all applicable legal, regulatory, and industry standards at every stage of their lifecycle. The role also requires proactively monitoring emerging regulations to future-proof our compliance and sustainability frameworks. - Packaging, Packaging marking and Packaging Recyclability
- Sustainability Reporting & Corporate Due Diligence Directives
- EUSPR regulation and DPP
- Proposition 65 and other US. American regulations
Beyond regulatory compliance, this role will ensure that compliance frameworks are fully integrated across all sales and distribution channels, ensuring products remain compliant throughout their market presence.
Policy Development and Implementation- Develop and implement company-wide compliance and sustainability policies, processes, and controls in line with global and local regulatory frameworks.
- Together with leadership, ensure compliance and sustainability programs are aligned with corporate objectives and risk management strategies.
- Continuously assess internal policies and update them based on changes in legislation, environmental standards, and best practices.
- Ensure that compliance obligations are reflected in the company's contractual framework, addressing risks related to product specifications and evolving regulatory requirements.
- Lead internal audits and coordinate with external auditors to verify compliance with EU standards and sustainability goals.
- Plan and manage product testing, certification, and documentation to ensure regulatory conformity and environmental responsibility.
- Ensure compliance documentation (Certificates of Compliance, vendor certifications, and regulatory filings) is complete, up-to-date, and accessible for internal teams, suppliers, and retail partners.
- Investigate compliance and sustainability breaches, recommend corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution.
- Act as a central point of coordination between Product, Legal, Supply Chain, and Sales to ensure compliance is actively managed across the business.
- Support the commercial and operations teams in navigating compliance-related matters, including global and local regulations.
- Drive alignment between internal teams and external partners, ensuring compliance requirements are clear at every stage of product development, production, and distribution.
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams (R&D, QC/QA, Supply Chain) on regulatory requirements, sustainability goals, and best practices.
- Act as the key point of contact for regulatory bodies, industry groups, certification authorities, and sustainability organizations.
- Collaborate with legal and environmental teams to interpret and apply regulatory and sustainability developments to company operations.
- Support external communication with suppliers and vendors to ensure they meet compliance and sustainability obligations.
- Keep up-to-date with emerging global regulations affecting consumer products, including sustainability and digital compliance trends.
- Advise leadership on strategic regulatory and sustainability shifts, ensuring future compliance readiness.
- Advocate for best practices in environmental and ethical compliance, aligning with the EU Green Deal and Circular Economy Action Plan.
- Lead initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of our products, including lifecycle assessments, sustainable sourcing, and eco-friendly packaging innovations.

- A bachelor's degree or higher in Law, Engineering, Business, Regulatory Affairs, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of EU and international consumer product laws, sustainability frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with CE marking, product safety documentation, sustainability certifications, and conformity assessments.
- A strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to translate business requirements to compliance and sustainability practices to various audiences.
- Experience of cross-functional work, with the ability to communicate and train others in complex regulations and sustainability standards effectively.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
Why you should join POC
- You will be able to define, drive and evolve the compliance and sustainability area, working hands-on with current regulation while being deeply embedded in the business.
- The impact of your work will be tangible, moving fast from idea to execution to results.
- We are a collaborative, passionate team, where Sustainability & Compliance needs to be closely connected to the entire business. You will work alongside skilled colleagues who are just as eager to share knowledge as they are to push boundaries.
- While we take our work seriously, we believe in balance. Whether it's lunch rides, outdoor training sessions, or product testing, we embrace an active lifestyle. Plus, with a generous health allowance, insurance, and discounts on our award-winning products, you will experience POC's mission firsthand - protecting lives and enabling performance.
- If you are looking for a place where your expertise makes a real impact, where Sustainability is both strategic and hands-on, and where you are never far from decision to action, this is the role for you.
