Working at Motatos, you will join our fight against food waste and have the ability to contribute to making the world a better place.

As Head of Purchasing & Assortment you're responsible for the Nordic supply of products. Together with your team you will create the best range of products for our customers at the right price. Our goal is that nothing that has been already produced should be thrown away - to make that happen, we need to collaborate with both our existing and new suppliers on their overstock.

What you'll do

  1. You will lead and develop a team of 8 dedicated purchasers in three countries (SE, FI, DK).
  2. You will lead the pumping heart of the business; everything we do starts with our supply and suppliers.
  3. You will ensure the achievement of the team-KPIs that you set-up together with the Chief Purchasing Officer.
  4. Together with the Merchandising function, you will develop and optimize the best possible mix to secure a relevant and profitable assortment according to the overall business strategy.
  5. You will help grow our suppliers network on a decision-making level.
  6. You will inspire your team to analyze and take data-driven decisions on all business matters.
  7. You are responsible for developing processes and ways of working within your team.
  8. You are responsible for developing, inspiring, and motivating your team members.
  9. You will report directly to the Nordic Director.

Our humble expectations - we see that you have experience in the following areas:

  1. 5+ years of relevant working experience.
  2. You have experience as a leader and have a proven track record of managing teams with more than 5 direct reports.
  3. Bachelor degree or equivalent education.
  4. Knowledge of the Nordic FMCG landscape.
  5. Off-price purchasing experience with overstocks/flash sales is a plus.
  6. Commercial mindset; you need to be passionate about sales and performance.
  7. You are a strong communicator, and negotiation is a big passion of yours.
  8. You have mastered the balance between making decisions based on data while never forgetting the supplier and customer perspective.
  9. You are well-structured.
  10. You are fluent in English and Swedish. We believe you are a humble and inspirational leader.
