Business Controller – Shape the Future of Financial Strategy in a Dynamic SaaS Environment

We're on the hunt for a dynamic Business Controller to take ownership of the company's cost structure and key business drivers, ensuring the accuracy of our financial data while playing a critical role in shaping strategic decisions. If you have a strong background in Finance or Economics, with hands-on experience in the SaaS industry, this is your chance to make a real impact in a growing company where your expertise will directly shape our future.

In this role, you'll use your sharp analytical skills and eye for detail to drive continuous improvement, while collaborating across teams to support business growth. Some of the things you will be working on:

  1. Analysis & Reporting: Monitor and report on monthly operating costs, analysing variances against budgets and forecasts.
  2. Budgeting & Forecasting: Assisting in creating and maintaining budgets, with regular forecast updates.
  3. Cost Efficiency: Identifying cost-saving opportunities and providing recommendations for improved efficiency.
  4. SaaS Financial Management: Managing key SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, churn, LTV, CAC, retention costs) to optimize financial performance.
  5. Management Support: Delivering clear, actionable financial insights to support strategic decisions.
  6. Quality Assurance: Ensuring financial data accuracy and compliance with internal and external requirements.

We believe you bring:

  1. Educational Background: Degree in Economics, Finance, or related fields.
  2. Cost Management: Familiarity with OPEX and labour cost management is a plus.
  3. Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting processes.
  4. Technical Skills: Proficient in financial systems and Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Business Central) is an advantage.
  5. Communication: Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
  6. Industry Experience: Previous experience in SaaS companies is preferred.
