The Role

The vision of the Product team is to work with speed, passion, dedication, and with a "getting things done" approach ensuring that we are doing the right things connected to the Group Strategy.

The current product organisation is split into five domains that reflect different parts of the customer journey, within each domain we have several development teams and product owners that manage the responsibilities and tasks of a Product Owner.

The five domains are:

  • Air Content - The backend Search and Book process teams
  • Customer Facing & Ancillaries - The Frontend and extra product teams
  • Payments - Customer Payments, Fraud and Airline Payment teams
  • Order Management - Order Changes and Order Information teams
  • Post Booking - Cancellation, Accounting/Reconciliation and Self service teams

This position is within the Post Booking domain with a focus on the development teams responsible for automation and improving the company Finance and Reconciliation processes, where we work with external providers of information as well as cooperate with other dev teams impacting financial transactions.

With thousands of transactions every day, these processes are complex and large and require a lot of work to keep automation levels high while keeping trust in the numbers. Our environment is based on home built systems that interact with the main ERP where final accounting is done.

Initially you will be working alongside a Senior Product Owner to ensure development targets are met around the given domain. By coaching and hands-on involvement with real projects you will gradually transition into a higher degree of autonomy with the goal to lead your own team.

The product organisation is currently located in Stockholm and Athens, but works with stakeholders and developers in all our offices.

Responsibilities

With an entrepreneurial mindset you will be responsible for:

  • Maximizing the value of the product resulting from work of the Development Team.
  • Forming the long term product/domain plan and requirement assessment process.
  • Inspiring and motivating the team with vision, long term direction, ambition and making the dev team accountable for the delivery.
  • Continuously prioritizing and following up activities in ongoing product development.
  • Facilitating in order to create a stimulating and creative work environment and accountable teams by focusing on the needs rather than providing solutions.
  • Coordinating, steering and interacting with multiple stakeholders and facilitating a joint understanding by tailoring the language to the audience.
  • Providing post-release and day-to-day support by collecting, filtering, organizing, prioritizing and following up bug reports and questions.
  • Identifying problems/opportunities within your domain and bringing them to life.
Requirements
  • Degree in a business-related field, such as Business Administration, Finance, Banking or Economics.
  • Ability to break down a complex concept/process into simpler parts and present it to someone with less insights.
  • Data driven/360 view thinking along with strong critical, analytical and investigation skills to turn insight into action.
  • You are used to working with people and have excellent communication skills and command of English (verbal and written communication), being able to tailor your language to the audience you refer to.
  • You thrive when taking on new responsibilities and feel comfortable making decisions.
  • Ability to deliver a data-driven approach with a customer-first mindset.
Meritorious:
  • Some technical knowledge of how airline fulfillment systems and processes work.
  • Some knowledge or background in reconciliation processes.
  • Experience of working in documentation programs such as Atlassian.
  • Experience of agile development such as Scrum and/or Kanban.
