This role is based in Malaysia and supports the Content acquisition, Consumer and International Digital Businesses based in Singapore on Singtel's contracts with third parties. The legal contract manager's role is to draft and negotiate agreements required in order for existing and new business to develop, providing end-to-end legal support. Drafting and advice may span a range of matters, from consumer-facing terms, insurance agency/intermediary matters, procurement of products, services and TV content from third parties, to assessing and analysing laws, regulations and risks. Open to rotation to other areas.

Make an Impact by:

  1. Draft, review, negotiate and advise on contracts ranging from NDAs and MOUs to definitive agreements, amendments and supplements, various other contracts and documentation.
  2. Meet tight timelines required, and obtain any required endorsements and approvals for deviations from the relevant contracts policy.
  3. Pro-actively advise on legal and operational risk issues holistically as part of providing legal advice on the contracts. Recommend changes and best practices.
  4. Work closely with the various business lines, and relevant stakeholders such as risk, finance and tax, to provide pragmatic, robust legal solutions consistent with the Singtel Group's corporate policies.
  5. Ensure documentation is systematically maintained with adequate processes and policies in place, and that organizational memory is retained, within the corporate business group.
  6. Collaborate, report to and work under the supervision of the Legal team in Singtel Singapore.
  7. Develop and implement procedures for contract management in compliance with Singtel's policies. As appropriate, contribute to or influence company policies.
  8. Drive user experience improvement initiatives related to the contracting process.

Skills for Success:

  1. Degree in Law and admitted to practice in Malaysia / Singapore / UK / Australia
  2. Minimum of 6 years' PQE gained in a reputable law firm and in-house.
  3. Strong legal analytical skills with a good eye for detail and sound knowledge of general corporate and contract law.
  4. Keen interest in the business and its operations and processes.
  5. Experience in international contracting matters.
  6. Able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and to meet critical deadlines.
  7. Able to work well independently as a legal professional and custodian of the company's policies as well as working collaboratively as part of a team.
  8. Be a fast learner, with a growth mindset, adaptable to change.
  9. Positive attitude, maturity and gravitas.

This is a fully onsite role.
