Job Description

IKEA of Sweden AB is looking for an experienced Legal Manager to lead the IT and Privacy lawyers and agenda within the legal team. The team today includes an IT generalist, two privacy specialists, and a sourcing specialist. You should have a law degree (LL.M) and at least 10 years' experience working with IT and privacy matters at a law firm or in-house. In addition, you should have experience in leading other lawyers.

Your main responsibilities include leading the IT and privacy lawyers and agenda in concert with counterparties across the Inter IKEA Group as well as providing legal support in these topics. You will also be a part of a small leadership team for the legal function at IKEA of Sweden AB, where you will be expected to contribute to the development and management of the legal function as a whole.

You will belong to the Legal & Governance function at IKEA of Sweden AB and report to the General Counsel.

Qualifications

The person we are looking for is a nice person It is a goal-oriented, curious, and eager to learn type of person. Our organization requires and values great self-discipline and a natural talent to make things happen, create relationships, and co-operate with people from different backgrounds. You are fluent in English (Swedish is a bonus).

We want you to have:

  • A Degree of Master of Laws from a reputable University.
  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience from a business law firm and/or as an in-house legal counsel in an international legal or business environment.
  • Experience within the fields of IT and Privacy.
