About Abbott

Abbott is a global healthcare leader dedicated to helping people live more fully at all stages of life. Our portfolio of life-changing technologies spans diagnostics, medical devices, nutritionals, and branded generic medicines. With 113,000 colleagues serving people in more than 160 countries, we are committed to making a lasting impact on global health.

About Vascular Division

Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease. The Abbott portfolio of Endovascular solutions features the Peripheral portfolio, Vessel Closure portfolio, and Embolization systems. We provide best-in-class endovascular products from access to treatment and closure, in interventional procedures within vascular surgery, interventional radiology, structural heart, cardiology, and electrophysiology. Abbott's Endovascular portfolio is currently being renewed and this role is pivotal to support the launch of Peripheral Orbital Atherectomy and future Bioresorbable Scaffolds.

Abbott is the global leader in the Vessel Closure field. Abbott's Vascular Closure portfolio includes Perclose Prostyle and Starclose SE. Our innovative and minimally invasive products allow for safe and secure closure in a variety of procedures.

About the Role

In the role of Clinical Specialist Endovascular, you deliver market-leading customer experience by providing best-in-class support and service, based upon an intimate understanding of customer needs in Sweden. This role will also support our Baltic Distributors. The job purpose is to deliver clinical product support to our existing and new portfolio, and to strengthen our position in Endovascular in preparation for future launches.

The jobholder will be expected to work independently to drive clinical knowledge in order to support the Key Account Manager to deliver revenue growth and account penetration in the field. The role is field-based and requires traveling 3-4 days per week, with a main focus on visiting customers, conducting product presentations, and responding to technical questions as well as understanding market needs. It is a pivotal clinical support role within the company and therefore requires strong clinical skills with an ability to handle a number of management tasks in addition to regular support and sales work.

Responsibilities

  1. Propose challenging and reasonable yearly clinical support targets and forecasts to management.
  2. Work with Key Account Manager and Sales Manager to develop and deliver on call plans and account plans to meet agreed revenue targets.
  3. Use own initiative to respond to internal and external issues.

Requirements

  1. University Degree in Life Sciences, nursing, radiography, or equivalent.
  2. Strong personal computer skills including MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  3. Strong teamwork and facilitation skills, effective at leading and being a member of teams and building relationships. Strong verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English.
  4. Preferred place of residence: South Sweden.
  5. Ability to travel 3-4 days per week.
  6. Must have a valid driver's license.

We are looking for someone with experience in medical devices, particularly pacing, and knowledge of catheter lab procedures and protocols. Strong communication skills and a willingness to travel (approximately 75% of the time) are essential. You should be flexible, self-motivated, and able to take initiative in the field. Good leadership skills and the ability to take responsibility are important. We also consider enthusiastic recent graduates in relevant fields who want to start a career in the industry, preferably candidates with good knowledge of vascular anatomy and physiology.

Working at Abbott

At Abbott, you can do work that matters, grow, and learn, care for yourself and family, be your true self, and live a full life. You will have access to career development with an international company where you can grow the career you dream of. You will work for a company recognized as a great place to work in dozens of countries around the world and named one of the most admired companies in the world by Fortune. Abbott as a company is recognized as one of the best big companies to work for as well as a best place to work for diversity, working mothers, female executives, and scientists.
