We are now looking for a Business Controller, someone with a forward-looking approach, constantly eager to understand the development and drivers of the business. The role requires a natural capacity to strive for improvement through data and reporting and will be key in maintaining a strong steering and control.
As Business Controller you'll be working directly with our CFO while collaborating cross-functionally with the entire Akind team.
Your main responsibility is to ensure that we have the right products, in the right place, at the right time and to ensure that we are growing as planned. This entails forecasting sales, analysing performance trends and managing the purchase plan to optimise stock availability and inventory levels. You'll also be responsible for gross margin analysis and pricing, ensuring that we reach our profitability targets.
What you'll be doing:
- Regular product sales forecasting as well as performance reporting and analysis
- Continuous purchase planning and budgeting for all products and materials
- Inventory management & optimization
- Accounting support and leadership for sales, COGS and inventory
- Supporting order placement process, preparing production and material orders
- Product profitability analysis and pricing in all markets
- Play an active part and proactively evaluate business opportunities and initiatives.
- Analytical support for all things related to product performance, production and inventory
- Reporting and presentation support to management
- Monitoring of discrepancies / internal financial reporting
The ideal candidate:
- You have recently graduated or are about to graduate from a BSc or MSc within Business, Finance or similar field with an above-average GPA
- You have relevant working experience from an entry-level position (1-2 years maximum), an internship or a part-time role, preferably within e-commerce.
- You like big datasets and have a natural flair for highlighting trends and finding root causes from your analysis
- You are a motivated, fast learner, problem-solver, and a self-starter; capable of working independently, yet collaboratively, within a fast-paced environment.
- You have excellent skills in Microsoft Excel
- You are organised, structured and detail-oriented
- You are fluent in English, both written and verbally
- You enjoy occasional after works with slightly competitive music quizzers
Location: Akind office in central Stockholm, Sweden
