Systems Specialist PAX

The System Specialist has the operational responsibility for defined parts of the IT-services in a service area PAX/DCS and works as a member of a Service Delivery Team/Value Stream. The System Specialist will be the 1st point of contact for defined business users/operational users of the IT-services, and corresponding contact against external/internal IT-suppliers. The System Specialist will ensure that the operational delivery of the IT-services is according to agreements and business needs. The System Specialist will also, proactively and in close cooperation with the business representatives and the IT-suppliers, support further business process development and ensure continuous improvement of the IT-services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Responsible 1st point of contact for business users/operational users in defined parts of the IT-services in the Service area.
  2. Responsible 1st point of contact for external/internal IT-suppliers of the IT-services.
  3. Responsible for regular meetings and follow up with business representatives and IT-suppliers regarding: Status of service delivery for the defined IT-services.
  4. Plans for improvements of the defined IT-services.
  5. Responsible for analysis of issues and problems in the delivery of the IT-services.
  6. Responsible for supporting business representatives to describe and specify requirements, to order backlog/change requests, and to secure plans for delivery of changes.
  7. Responsible for monitoring progress, reporting errors to supplier, verifying solutions, and ensuring documentation.
  8. Responsible for supporting the IT-suppliers with knowledge and guidance regarding: SAS IT-environment and integrations to other applications and IT-suppliers.
  9. SAS IT-policies/standards.
  10. Business impact of disturbances in the service delivery.
  11. Responsible for supporting the business in process development and lean process improvements, and for enabling and supporting simple and efficient use and utilization of IT among business users.
  12. Responsible for supporting development in the Service area: Providing IT-requirements.
  13. Supporting business requirements.
  14. Providing knowledge support to the IT-suppliers.
  15. Ensuring that deliveries are according to specifications and SAS IT-policies and standards.

  6. Deep understanding of the business area supported, including processes, functional requirements, business applications, vendors and interfaces (PAX/DCS).
  7. Fluent professional English in speech and writing.
  8. Fluent in one of the Scandinavian languages, and good understanding of other Scandinavian languages.
  9. Competent in Altea DCS.
  10. Good knowledge of Passenger & Baggage processes including irregularity handling.
  11. Understands DCS user access and permissions.
  12. Understanding of RBAC is a merit.
  13. Experience of schedule distribution.
  14. Knowledge of Ground handling.
  15. Knowledge of relevant business processes on a specialist level.
